About Nakshatra
Nakshatra is a free analytics tool for the NIFTY option chain. It turns the raw grid of calls and puts into something you can actually read intraday: open interest, implied volatility, volume, premiums, and the derived signals that sit on top of them — PCR, max pain, support and resistance walls, VWAP break-even, and more. See data. Spot opportunity. Trade smart.
What Nakshatra shows
The Option Chain view gives you the full mirrored chain — calls on the left, the strike spine in the centre, puts on the right — with the at-the-money zone highlighted and every column toggleable. On top of that, the Insights tab distils the chain into a plain-English read: a verdict on the day's positioning, an OI flow heatmap across strikes and time, the ATM straddle's expected move, and how max pain drifts against spot.
The 5-minute history edge
Most option-chain tools show you one frozen snapshot — whatever the chain looks like right now. Nakshatra stores a snapshot every five minutes through the trading day. That changes what you can see: instead of a single still frame, you watch positions build, IV expand, and premiums move as the session unfolds. You can scrub back to any moment, replay how a strike filled up, and judge whether a level was defended or abandoned — context a one-shot chain simply cannot give you.
The OI cohort-exit feature
Knowing that open interest fell at a strike is only half the story — the question is who left and why. Nakshatra's OI cohort-exit analysis groups buildup into daily cohorts and, for each drop in open interest, infers whether it was short covering or long liquidation using the delta-adjusted premium move (so a trending spot does not fool the read). It reports the share each cohort exited, turning a raw OI decline into a picture of which side is unwinding pressure.
Who it is for
Nakshatra is built for NIFTY options traders who want to read the chain, not just glance at it — anyone trying to understand where positioning is heavy, how it is shifting through the day, and what the market is pricing for the move ahead. Everything on the site is for information only and is not investment advice.
